One common problem that occurs with faulty power windows is a faulty Chrysler Town and Country window motor. You can obtain access to your Town and Country window motor by removing your interior door panel, where you will also find your window regulator.
The window regulator is a collection of gears and arms that controls the up and down motion of your windows, and your window motor is the component responsible for turning those gears when you press your window switches. If your windows are not working, your first step should be to determine whether the problem lies with your window regulator, or your Chrysler Town and Country window motor.
You can often do this by listening when you press your window switch. If you hear a humming or a grinding sound, this usually means that your window motor is still trying to work, but your regulator is stuck. However, if you don't hear anything at all, then there may be a problem with your fuses, your wiring, or your Town and Country window motor. Over time your window motor may develop problems due to grime buildup, or simply wear and tear through normal use. If there is no power at either connector on the window the first place I would look is the harness that goes in between the hatch and the body. It is pretty common for the wires to break in that area.
We have had this happen in every town and country and caravan that we have owned. They will tell you that the window motor needs replaced. It will work for a while and then break again. Did I mention that the price tag to fix it is pretty hefty? A friend of mine told me that he fixed his with a salvaged window motor for a fraction of the price. The motor is obviously defective though if it breaks so easily.
Can't find confirmation on that running through BCM,(body control module) but I have a suspicion it does, seeing how all door locks, rear window defroster etc are all through the BCM. Might be worth it to remove battery cables, then remove connector to BCM & clean all the connections/contacts good & retry it just to see if that helps in any way.
2006 chrysler town and country passenger side window suddenly stopped working. other windows work, sliding doors work as does rear hatchback. fuses seem to be good. might there be a safety switch that somehow got pushed that keeps the passenger window from opening?
