You can go to an auto parts dealer. They sell a bracket with a pulley that takes the place of an a/c compressor and allows you to use the same size belt It's available at a place like NAPA or Autozone.

How to bypass AC compressor for a 2008 Ford Taurus X limited 3.5L motor

That's not the way you do it, you remove the AC Compressor and fit a Bypass Pulley in its place. The belt and routing remain the same.

Could smell a burnt wire smell (maybe belt) and lost AC. Was told that I need a AC Compressor kit. Was told that you can't bypass it. Is this true?

because of the way the belt is routed the ac compressor can not be bypassed by using a smaller belt. So that leaves you with 2 options. 1. replace the a/c compressor and enjoy the benefits of a/c during the hottest days of summer. 2. remove the a/c compressor and install a bypass pulley. option one gives the most benefit for the dollar and is also the most reliable repair. option 2 is not as sound of a repair, can be installed incorrectly, has a higher probability of failure, costs less, and makes you rely on open windows to cool off.

I need a serpintine routing diagram for a 1999 ford windstar with a 3.8 liter engine .and if it is possiable can you bypass the airconditioner condenser?

The routing diagram is on the underside of the hood or on the front radiator support panel. You really cant bypass the AC compressor either. You'll have to replace the compressor hub bearing or the whole clutch hub assembly. I think yours is frozen or noisy, right?

What is easiest fix on a/c compressor or to bypass it and drive?

If it doesn't make any noise when AC is off, and your o.k. with that, just unplug the connector going to the compressor & it won't engage the clutch anymore.

1998 Ford Windstar AC compressor

They get more than warm, but not excessively hot that you can't touch it. This can be caused by a faulty condenser fan motor, dirty condenser coil even low freon, which is my guess along with a dirty condenser. Check these two issues and if it's not the problem your compressor may be getting ready to die. because of internal issues with the motor windings. Make sure the fan is running to speed, clean the condenser and see if the larger copper pipe to the compressor is ice cold and sweaty, if not you may need freon
