1997 audi A4 heater blowing cold air

What do l do help me Hi i have 97 audi a4 1.8t qua. It overheats it also has some kind of thick brown liquid in the coolant system. could u help me. thankss

You probably have a leak in your oil cooler. This is causing the oil to bleed into your cooling system causing the "thick brown liquid". This in turn will also cause your engine to over-heat since the cooling system is contaminated.

Have a 97 Audi A4 with the 2.8 v6. My climate control started to blow only cold air. New water pump, thermastat, colony system is bled, good flow through heater core. Thinking the servo motor for the air...

Cannot say i do offhand but yes your diagnosis is correct thats for sure and to get to anything i think you will need to remove the dash ,not a difficult job just time consuming thats all and remember to refit all the screws back in use a mobile phone to take lots of pics as you take it apart and hope your back is ok for all the bending upside down to do this job

You will have to change the heater core. 9 out of 10 times, when the heater is not heating the air, it is a bad heater core.

they told me it was the a/c server some kind of valve that switches it to cold or hott mine just has cold air coming out check they its under ur dash so look it up on line and look for it , its about 80 to 100 dollars.......
