Does it go into gear ok when its not running? When its running does it grind when you try to put it in gear? Does clutch feel firm or soft when you push it in? If you can shift all gears when its not running then its a clutch problem. If you can't than its a transmission problem. Is it a hydrolic clutch or mechanical? I can only guess and i won't do that, i need this info to help you.

Need help please !!!!!!!!!!!

check your transmission fluid with the engine running and gear in park. check the level, color, smell, and feel it. adjust level if needed, if it's black, smells burnt, or you feel small metal like shavings, your tranny is junk.

Standard transmission has trouble with first gear on an incline

Interesting problem. The gear shift is run by levers and rods, not cables. I suspect that there are problems with
a) the rear gearbox mount (e.g. broken); or.and
b) engine mounts (broken or loose)

that allows the engine/trans to move fwd/back, and this is affecting the gear shift linkage.

You should also check the clutch pedal freeplay.

I doubt there is ANY problem with the standard transmission.

Check the clutch fluid (brake fluid) should be a small resivoir on firewall to fill..I believe these are hydrolic clutch system, and not cableoperated...may be a small seep im master clutch cylinder,or slave cylinder(on trans)needs to be bled, somewhat like brake system...Lee
