Definitivelly the trans is going bad and slipping. Thats what the codes mean. Theres not much that can be done from the outside. If you choose to fix it, id go with a good used to keep costs down. You can locate one at www.car-part.com

All codes
are for the trans slipping. If a sensor was out, you would have certain codes that say which one. For instance if a speed sensor was out, you couldn't have the two codes you have now as the speed sensor has to work in order to generate your codes now.

I would check your fuses. Check the connector to the transmission check the harness for any chaffing against the trans case where the wires could be shorting out. If all of that looks okay I would check the internal harness by removing the trans pan then replace the valve body which includes all of the solenoids. If all of that doesn't work its an internal failure and the trans must come apart for inspection and repair. As a rule of thumb if its intermitant its probably electrical if it does it at all times it could also be internal.

Keep us updated.

See if your idle air control valve needs to be cleaned out. This is a common problem in cars that stall out a lot.

Does it have fuel in the injectors line? It could be the fuel pump!

Why is my Hyundai accent 05 codes are p0732,p0733, p0734 how do infix it?

Not sure but by the looks of the numbers and the fact they are sequential my guess would be a misfire in cylinders 2,3, & 4.

P0734 Hyundai accent 2003

code p 0734 refers to gear 4--incorrect ratio===causes --wiring---TR sensor/ switch---shift solenoids---transmission mechanical fault
I would check the operation of the transmission ration sensor/switch first as that is the most likely place that the fault is
check engine lights are not solely for the engine but report on transmission problems as well
a transmission mechanical fault is the absolute last that you should consider because the transmission will revert to normal operations until it selects gear 4 which indicates sensor or solenoid problem

Car sometimes wont start unless you spray starter fluid, just replaced filter. oem codes are p0734 and p1401

P0734 = 4th gear incorrect ratio (that's the torque converter 'lock-up' clutch - inside the converter).
P1401 = doesn't exist for 2002 Hyundai Accent's
P1401 exists for 2000 Accent = DM-TL Air Pump Motor Curent Draw is higher or lower than expected (normal is 17-36 mA). DM-TL = Diagnostic Module for Tank Leakage & is part of the Evaporative Emissions Control System.

These two DTC's are not associated/part of the Accent's Engine Managemenet System (EMS).
Best to have a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician properly diagnose this starting problem with your vehicle.

Sounds like a dirty of faulty speed sensor. They can be removed and cleaned. Better off replacing. Do check the wires to the speed sensor. Trace wires from tranny to instrument cluster and make sure they are all in tact and clean.

Hi

Well two of the tranny codes ; P0734 and PO732 indicate gear 2,3,4 ratio incorrect. This can be caused by poor readings at the input and output speed sensors or pulse generators. The P1709 code is in reference to the kickdown servo switch.

Replacing the pulse generator set and TCM reprogramming( as per TSB) may solve your problem, otherwise you have a major component failure in the transmission unit. I would get some line pressures at the transmission checked first.

Sounds like the transmission is in fail safe mode, this happens when there is a transmission fault, you only have two gears 2nd and reverse.

Hope this helps - Steve
