Why won't the fog lights turn off?

I have a Subaru Forester 1999 and the fog lights won't turn off, even when the car isn't running. It didn't use to do this untill I took it to the car wash. I don't have a pannel under the car anymore (step mom says it fell off). What would be causing the fog lights to be staying on?

SOURCE: 2004 Subaru Forester

If the '04 has the same setup as the '00, then there should be a switch on the top of the steering column that will turn the parking lights on or off even if the key is removed. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a 98 Subaru Forester and the engine fan

The fan relay is stuck it must be replaced or the coolant temperature sensor for the fan is faulty, I would replace the relay first.

SOURCE: 2004 subaru forester, 99,000 miles. Check engine

Drop in to an Autozone, or Pep Boys, or similar big parts store & they will usually scan for codes free. This will hopefully eliminate all the guess work, or at least point everyone in right direction for better diagnosis. If not obvious from codes what the problem is, get back to us and we'll help you out.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the great suggestion . I'll have Autozone read the codes on Monday. Thanks again!"

undo the negative battery terminal for around 10 to 15 minutes and then put it back on and the light should be out. it resets the computer

SOURCE: my clock light on my 2004 Subaru Forester won't

Is this for a 1999 Forester or for a 2004 forester, the title lists both years. If it is a 1999 model then the problem most likely resides within the clock itself. Unfortunately, many clocks of this vintage go bad over time. I offer a reasonable repair service and many clock removal instruction sheets at www.autoclockrepair.com
I'd be happy to assist.

My clock light on my 2004 Subaru Forester won't light anymore. The dome light works so I know its not a fuse.

Adding fog lights to a 2003 forester X

If they are factory lights or even aftermarket they shoudl give you diagram. Oh and you will have to get a relay that subaru sells. most cars already have the accesory spot for it you just have to add the parts. subaru should tell you this. I was a subaru tech.
