Engine problems Purchased a 1999 chevy tahoe that had not been drove for 6 months. We know that it needed a water pump; replaced that. And was still leaking antifreeze. Now we figure out that it's a freeze plug. But what that out; when you start the tahoe. Eractic sound, putting, running rough and will not idle. Any ideas? Maybe head gasket, bad engine.
Check your exhaust. If the vacum is not complete, the truck may idle like ****. Same for your catalytic converters and O2 sensors. do a system check at a garage.

If the battery is dying that quickly you need a new battery
On the Tahoe K series 5.7L the fuel pump relay is in the engine compartment to the rear of the engine control module, should be identified on the cover over the relays

you're getting water in to your oil that's why its milky. could be a bad head gasket ,cracked head, or a cracked block, usually one of the last 2. better get it to a mechanic, if its the block it would probably be cheaper to replace the engine, it takes less time and most places charge 75-100 dollars an hour
Change the engine oil or top it up to the specified level if the oil is still good and not burnt. After such conditions if the engine oil level is low, it would be advisable to change it completely. Also check if water pump is able to circulate the water properly(see on removing the radiator cap while the engine is running). Clean all plugs as added safety and try...sodeep
I'm assuming that by turning over, you mean that the engine fails to turn with the starter . Check your battery for 12v and make sure all connections are clean and secure. If battery has less than 12v charge it and check the charging system after re-starting. Lights and radio do not pull the same amperage as the starter and may not tell you much about battery condition. If you have full battery voltage, check the starter for 12v at the battery connection and the small (trigger wire) for 12v with the key turned to start position. If you have both, likely starter has failed.
Normally it's just a matter of removing filler tubes from side, disconnect fuel lines & electrical connections at fuel pump/sender, undo the 2 straps, & lower it down.
Check this web site for auto repair estimates. Your fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. In my area, the job would run $400-600 at a dealer, $200 or so less at an independent garage, for the pump in the rear tank. If you have a tank on the left side, it runs about $100 more. The site will also have listings for independent garages in your area.
