The rear defogger stopped working also. The lights for both mechanisms are off. There is no blower noise or response of any kind when turned on. What should I do. Is this a fuse problem or involved electrical problem? If it is a fuse problem, how do I check or change?

Well, the first thing to do is check all the fuses, esspecially the main fuse panel in the engine compartment. Look for a black box cover above the wheel arch. There's fuses and relays inside the box. You'll need some long-nose pliers to pull the fuses out to check if they are blown. Be aware that your car is now 23 years old, and there can be wiring faults in the harness that are difficult to find.

Look on the wiring harness it plugs in on top of the transmission
make sure all the wires are together. If every thing is ok with the wiring, The sensor is the only thing it could be. A gook used spedometer sensor from the junk yard will work this sensor dosent take a lot of abuse so a good used one will be cheap and work just fine. This is a job you can do your self and save a lot of money. I had the same problem with my 95 civic

7.3 ft.lbs Go from middle, to back right, to back left, to front right, to front left. if your standing in fron of your header. 11 or over usually shears the bolt.(if you have stock bolts)
Make sure you dap some rtv on the sharper 4 corners of the gasket where the cam seals are.

The blower motor resistor is most probably the problem.

It could be that your syncro for the reverse gear is gone. Which would have to be brought to a tranny shop not a do it your self type of job.
