Where is passenger compartment fuse box #4 1997 ford escort?

    Thank you for that diagram . It allowed to find out the cigarette lighter in the second fuse box well hidden in front of the driver side.

    Without that diagram, I would have never known I had a seond fuse box.

On a ford Escort there are only 2 fuse boxes, one is located on the driver side, under the instrument panel, and the other under the hood.

  1. Headlight switch could have gone bad
  2. Headlight grounding could have gone bad
  3. Relay/fuse could have gone bad
For this model year the headlamp relay/fuses are in the relay box under the hood (not in the passenger compartment) ... usually mounted on the left driver side (USA models) under the hood above the wheel well

look at TAIL ~ 15 amp blue fuse

this is inside the passenger compartment, not the one in the underhood bay

It is probably located in the fuse box located in near or behind the left hand kick panel, passenger compartment. There should be a diagram in the cover to show you the fuse you want.
