SOURCE: Toyota 2004 Rav4 jump started wrong way

First thing you should do is to locate the Fuse Panels. They are located on the left of steering column covered possibly by a cover. Also there is a Fuse panel under the hood also covered by panel or Box Cover. The computer unit is probably not blown,Fuses are placed in vehicles for just this very type issue,to prevent Power Surges from damaging Computer units or other electrical components. Check every fuse there is a tester available that is not expensive to insure you change the blown one...thats the first place to start.

SOURCE: car only starts in reverse and only drives in neutral

Sounds like a cable to the transmission is not adjusted up right, and/or the neutral safety switch is not adjusted right, if this applies to your Toyota Corolla.

My 2003 Saab 9-5 Aero 4-cyl Turbo Won't start. However, I have power in car, lights windows and radio works. But it won't turn-over. It could be Starter or Starter Relay. I can't find out

Ok, those systems might still work because the not require as much energy as the starter. Check the Battery Voltage with a good Voltmeter. If below 12, there might be your problem!

Car won't start totally dead no radio, lights

Charge it, or hook up jumper cables, wait a few minutes before you actually try to start it. Make the ground to the running engine the last connection you make.

How can I get key out which is stuck in ignition of 2008 cobalt. It also won't start

This can happen if the battery is low / dead. To solve, connect a set of jumper cables between the battery in the Cobalt and a running car's battery. Shut off the running car. In the Cobalt, make sure all accessories (lights, radio, fan, etc.) are off. Step on the brake, then move the gear shifter fully into the PARK position. Next, either attempt to start the engine, or turn the key to the OFF position and remove it from the ignition.

I hope this helps & good luck!

2002 Toyota rav4 nothing in my car is working from outside lights to interior lights a/c windows radio etc.

you could have bad battery connectors or bad ground wire. if you had a volt meter you could check the voltage on the battery and it should have 13-14 volts

2008 Saturn vue won't go out of park and shows it being in reverse and won't start.

Broken shift cable ?
If the neutral safety switch is on the transaxle and the cable is broken, the switch could still be in the reverse position.

How do i jump my 1997 dodge stratus

  • Ensure your Stratus's ignition is in the "Off" position, and turn off anything that uses battery power, such as lights, radio and heater blower. Park the booster car close enough to the dead car that you can connect the jumper cables to both batteries, but make sure the two vehicles aren't touching. Connect one red (+) clamp of the cables to the booster battery's positive terminal. Connect the other red clamp to the Stratus' "Remote Terminal." The terminal is located next to the air filter assembly, and is marked with a "+" and the word "Positive." Dodge uses these remote terminals to reduce the risk of explosion caused by sparks near the battery. Connect one of the black (-) cable clamps to the negative terminal on the booster battery. Connect the other black clamp to the negative "Remote Terminal" on the Stratus, located on the opposite side of the air filter assembly from the positive terminal. It is a marked with a "-" and the word "Negative."Start the booster car, if not already running, and apply slight pressure to the gas pedal to make it idle faster. Wait a few minutes and attempt to start the Stratus. If it cranks a little, but still won't start, continue charging the battery. Once the Stratus starts, leave it running and disconnect the jumper cables in reverse order of the way you attached them.
