Trying to find the Low Pressure valve on my chevy traverse so I can recharge the AC.
It's straight below the high pressure valve about a foot. it's a little stem with a cap on it. it's kind of by the oil flter. i didn't see it the first time i looked either.
The port that sticks out near the radiator reservoir is the high. Follow that line going toward the center of the engine. There should be a cylinder looking thing (the drier) connected to the low (wider) ac line just below it. Follow that hose about two feet under the high port, it's on the bottom side and hard to see.
I was told that you can't add Freon to a 2014 Chevy traverse if you can where's it located and what kind of freon

find the sensor that is plugged into the accumulator on passenger side normally it Will have two wires the dryer will be silver or aluminum colored unhook the connector put a paper clip in the connector if the compressor comes on then you have it, Warning if low on refrigerant you can damage the compressor if on for a long period of time, check to see if AC gets cold turn it on to Max AC fan full blast and see it it's cold, if it is the switch is bad, if it does not get cold then it needs to be serviced.

your freon should be 134 a.go to an auto parts store and follow step by step instructions.they give you the hoses and even tell you when it is charges. a sure tale of a good charge is on a hot day your compressor clutch will cycle off for about 10 seconds

Go to the passenger side of the car and you will see some colored caps coming from the condinser. It looks like an aluminum cylinder. Follow the the lines and you will see something that looks like big valve stem caps that you remove to put air in your tires. You will find it there. The colors will be either green or black. You will not be able to hook the servicing hose to the high side so do not worry. There is only two caps on the vehicle that looks like that.
