Hi

You need to bleed the heater system, suspect you still have an air lock in it.

Slacken off outlet side of heater, hose clip. and run engine at 1000rpm, pull off the hose, once the flow is coming out constant, refit hose and tighten clip, and top up coolant.

Good Luck !

A FixYa would be appreciated !........ Thanks....John

Where is the heater core located in a t660 ke

A QUICK FIX FOR A DAMAGE HEATER CORE?
TO REPLACE A HEATER CORE IT COST ABOUT $700..
THE COMPLETE DASHBOARD HAVE TO BE REMOVE...

BUT IM HERE TO SPARE YOU OF $700 FOR NOW.

I WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST AND QUICK AND CHEAPEST SOLUTION TO GET YOUR CAR ON THE ROAD... ASAP, A $20 FIX..

DO IT YOURSELF AND SAVE THE TOWING TO MECHANIC.

THE BAD (YOUR HEATER WILL NOT WORK).. YOUR FAN AND AC WILL WORK FINE, JUST NO HEAT. (SOLUTION>)GET A PORTABLE HEATER THAT CONNECT TO YOUR LIGHTER UNTIL YOU GET THE CASH TO PAY $700+

A HEATER CORE IS THE LITTLE RADIATOR UNDER YOUR DASH, THAT RECEIVE ANTIFREEZE FROM THE BIG RADIATOR IN FRONT OF THE ENGINE, THAT GIVES YOU HEAT DURING COLD WEATHER.

FROM THE BIG RADIATOR THERE IS 2 LITTLE HOSES THAT ATTACHES TO THE HEATER CORE, LOOK FOR IT NEAR THE BRAKE SYSTEM IN BACK OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE PANEL OF THE CAR. (2 RUBBER HOSES.. (SEE PIC BELOW FOR SAMPLE)

THEY WILL HAVE 2 CLAMPS, WITH REGULAR HAND TOOLS, YOU
WOULD BE ABLE TO REMOVE BOTH HOSES, ONCE YOU REMOVE THEM..
BUY A SMALL METAL TUBE IN THE SHAPE OF A (U)
AND CONNECT BOTH HOSES TO EACH OTHER, AND PLACE BOTH BRACKETS OR CLAMPS TIGHTLY FOR NO LEAKS.

ITS A 10 MIN JOB.

REMOVING BOTH HOSES FROM THE HEATER CORE AND RE-ATTACHING THEM TOGETHER, ALL YOU DOING ITS ELIMINATING THE HEATER CORE COMPLETELY, THAT'S LOCATED UNDER THE DASH FOR HEATING SUPPORT.

IF YOUR HEATER CORE WAS LEAKING ANTIFREEZE INSIDE YOUR CAR, IT WILL STOP LEAKING ONCE YOU DISCONECT THE 2 HOSES FROM OUTSIDE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, THERE WILL BE NO MORE ANTIFREEZE GOING INTO YOUR HEATER CORE SINCE YOU WILL BYPASS THE HEATER CORE.

ONCE YOU CONNECT BOTH HOSES TOGETHER, THE ANTIFREEZE WILL CIRCULATE BACK TO THE FRONT RADIATOR AND NO OVER HEATING AND NO LEAKING INSIDE YOUR CAR MO MORE. YOUR CAR WILL DRIVE FINE, YOUR AC AND FAN WILL WORK THE SAME...SO LONG THAT WAS THE ONLY PROBLEM.

THIS THE MOST AFFORDABLE AND QUICKEST SOLUTION TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD ASAP.

LEAVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK.

GOOD LUCK

THANKS

When i turn on the heat, I smell antifreeze right away then it goes away

Your heater core is leaking. The heater core on your 2001 Jeep Cherokee is responsible for providing heat in the cab of your Jeep. Overtime, he heater core can become plugged with dust or corrosion and stop working causing it to leak. The heater core is linked with the antifreeze that runs in the radiator in turn draws heat from the engine and than uses that heat to warm up the car. Most heater cores are located under the dash on the passenger side. Here is a link for how locate and remove the heater core. http://www.ehow.com/how_5332477_remove-jeep-cherokee-heater-core.html

Good luck! :)

2000 jeep cherokee does not heat or defrost fan

the oily substance you talk about is antifreeze, your heater core is damaged and leaking in the form of mist and going to your windshield you must replace your heater core in the dash generally behind the glove box.

2001 jeep cherokee- had the heater core replaced in Feb. 2008, when you turn on heater barely any air, when you use defrost a snell and the windows fog up. When you turn off car sounds like ******* comes...

Sounds to me like the heater core is leaking again. If you're smelling antifreeze and the window fogs up then you're getting coolant into the heating system. Most likely cause is leaking hose to heater core or the heater core it's self.

2000 Cherokee not warm

Aside from flushing the radiator and heater core andreplacing your hoses, did you happen to replace your thermostat. Sounds to me like that's your problem if everything else seems to be in order. If you change the thermostat and still have no heat, you might check your vacuum lines running to the back of your heater controls inside your dash. That's really the only other thing that I believe could be causing your lack of heat.

Hope this helps! Have a great day and try to stay warm!
