First you need to have EBCM - electronic brake control module check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . If the light is on there is a code stored . I think most part stores can do this and for free . After you find out what code is stored , looking up that code in service repair information for diagnostic trouble shooting chart would be next step . There are a few codes too.
DTC C0035 or C0040
DTC C0045 or C0050
DTC C0110
DTC C0131
DTC C0161
DTC C0186

Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the vehicle.
Press the gas pedal in 3 times, holding it in for 2 seconds each time.
When the "Change Oil" light flashes, start the vehicle.
you can clear it by shorting battery cables (disconnected of course). but there IS a reason it came on. it's trying to tell you that you have problem. if it were me, i'd be kinda curious as to what it is before i erased the history...
I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.
You may have to take your vehicle to a dealer because whenever your airbag light comes on, it could be a computer problem. If possible, I would do it a.s.a.p. because there have been cases where the airbag can potentially go off!! Or never work. I'm not trying to scare you or anything, but you just can't really take these things lightly. Good luck, hope all goes well
