Hi, this cabin filter is not the air filter, this is the A/C filter located behind the glovebox, remove a couple of screws and a bigger nutt, and the filter is located in a vertical box.
Actually, the filter you are refering to is behind the glove box. I just put one in.
open the glove box, push in on the rubber stoppers for the glove box. Remove the bolt for the openning stopper on the right hand side (nearest the door). When glove box falls all the way down remove the glove box then remove the bar which supports the glove box. There is a vertical, 1.5 inch wide 8 inch long access panel with a release clip at the bottom, Pull the release clip, pull the access panel and replcae filter. Clean out all the junk you will find in there.
I'm not positive what you mean by "cabin filter" however, I believe that you might be referring to the air filter. If that is what you are referring to, when you open the hood on the accents and you are standing facing the car looking into the engine compartment the air filter compartment is going to be on the right side above the battery. It is a plastic box (mine is black) it has snaps on each side that hold it in place. Lift these snaps up and open the top and the filter is right below.
It is behind the glove compartment. I have written detailed step-by-step instructions for letting down the glove compartment, releasing the inside/outside air baffle cable, replacing the filter, and putting it all back together: How to Replace Hyundai Accent Cabin Air Filter Share Your Repair

Remove glove box and in cabin microfilter door will be right there. Note on some Xterras there is no filter installed and the box will need to be cut out in order to install kit. This is a fairly easy task that can be done in the vehicle. Just follow the directions and you should be ok.

If you open your glove compartment you'll see the hydraulic attachment on
the right side. You can detach this with a small screwdriver by pushing
it off the knob that its hooked to. Be careful it is plastic. Once you
do that you can then press in on the sides of the glove compartment to
release it and pull it forward or downward. Make sure it is empty first
or it will be afterwards. You can then see the for clips that you
squeeze together and pull the tray out. Once you have it out then simply
squeeze the center of the filter like an accordion with your thumb and
index finger to get it out of the tray. Follow these steps in reverse
with the new filter and your done.
