Hello, you probably have the quad four. The waterpump is on the back side of the engine just to the left of the exhaust manifold. If you have the four tech engine it is on the front near the air compressor.Please rate my answer thank you.

pull out your coolant res.
pull off your belt.
you will see the old waterpump.
remove all four bolts.
clean off gasket off waterpump mount on motor.
place gasket.
install.

Hi there anyone ever swap a 2.2 from a 1996 sunfire and install it into a 1999 sunfire that also had a 2.2 engine in it? problem is that all the sensors are located in diiferent areas as well they are...
I don't believe you will be able to use that motor, the only one that will work would be one from another 1999 or a 2000.
