PRESS AND HOLD IN THE TRIPOMETER RESET BUTTON. WITH IT IN, TURN THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION WITHOUT STARTING THE ENGINE. THE DISPLAY WILL COUNT DOWN IN HASH MARKS FROM 6 TO 0. AFTER IT REACHES 0 RELEASE THE TRIPOMETER RESET, TURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION. ONCE YOU RESTART THE LIGHT SHOULD BE OFF.

aimost always the manufacturer has that programed in the computer and can not be changed

OPEN MANUALLY AND CHECK THE STRUTS PS. IF WHEN YOU OPEN IT AND IT GOES BACK DOWN THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM

You may need the dealership to do it on the next service or get an auto electrician to check the programming. Or try toggling it Off,, turn off ignition and remove the key. Count to 10 and toggle it back on.

Power tailgate on 2007 rx350 will not stay open

With the age of this vehicle, there is a good chance that the hydraulic struts can no longer easily lift, and keep the tailgate open...even though the electronics work OK.

I have a 2011 Lexus RX350. The power tailgate goes up using the key fob and button on the dash; however, if you press the button on the tailgate it only unlocks. It does not go up.

I don't think it is supposed to go up when using the tailgate lock to avoid hitting you while you are in close proximity to the gate.....Check your owners manual......
