I am replacing my timing belt in my hyundai sonata 98 2.5L EF manual sedan and am seeking the timing marks and or diagram to help me through it please.
Yoy will get a diagram and how to do it from a workshop manual (Gregorys or haynes) as it is involved to explain here. Strongly suggest you have a hyundai qualified mechanic do it as it will save you money in the long run. IT is not just belts that need replacing but idler pullets and hydraulic adjuster (if you have one) as well as crank seal and cam shaft seal. Oil is the biggest killer of timing belts and all except the pulleys have oil in their presence.
