Check your anti-freeze make sure it is full then have your thermostat checked .does the car over heat when your driving ?

Not without testing ? Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

Replace the catalytic converter with dealer part aftermarket such as carquest or napa are only designed to last about two years!and make sure egr system functioning properly also.

I had the same problem with my 98 Cadillac Deville. I changed the power steering pump and the hose that runs to the rack. The problem was solved, loud noises and whining stopped.

YOU WILL NEED A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL.AND A SERPENTINE DRIVE BELT TENSIONER TOOL TO TAKE TENSION OFF DRIVE BELT.SO YOU CAN REMOVE BELT TO GET TO THE POWER STEERING PUMP.

GO TO DEALERSHIP GIVE THEM YOUR CAR VIN NUMBER.TAKE DRIVER LICENSE THEY WILL ASK TO MAKE SURE CAR IS STOLEN.THEN THEY WILL GET YOU NEW KEYS.OR REPLACE SWITCH AND GIVE YOU A NEW KEYS AND IGNITION SWITCH.
