1995 Pontiac Bonneville SSE wont start.

I have a 95 Bonneville, the car has been running OK, I parked it and when I went back a few hours later but it would not start. The car powers up and when I turn the key it seems to pull extra power, but the engine does not crank. I have insured the connections to the starter are good and with the key on I have jumped the starter, by jumping the starter the engine turns and seems to fire but immediatly dies.
I am wondering what the most likely cause is and where to find any relay that may be associated.
The only problem I had nioticed recently was with the automatic headlights, the lights are always fully on when I have the automatic lights engaged, rather than daytime running lights durring the day.
Thanks for any help.

Hello, you seem to have a problem with your anti-theft system the ignition lock cylinder has two wires that are very small and are common at breaking because every time the ignition switch turns the are being rocked back and forth, or either there is a malfunction in your key, but odds are you will be replacing the cylinder. You will also have to have a new key made. This fix is kind of exspensive so I would advise you to let the dealer do it. Besides when putting the switch in it could be possible to damage the new one so let them have that headache. Thank You

If the car cranks while starting...the starter is probably good. The problem is either the car isn't getting fuel or spark.

Check TPS -Throttle Position Sensor

Test it --not replace-- unless it has failed a test

Also the fuel pump maybe worn out as well

How do i get the proper security code for my 95 pontiac bonneville sse, so i can replace the lost ignition key?

There are 15 possible codes. They are listed on this site. It is possible to bypass that part of the system and then use a regular key. With a little effort and know how, you could fix this rather cheaply. Alot of info on this site. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

1995 pontiac bonneville was running fine until I parked it. Came back several minutes later and now it wont fire off when I turn it over. After spraying starting fluid in it, it works fine for about 5...

Can you hear the fuel pump hum when you turn the key to on? If it will start on starting fluid, you definitely have a fuel problem. The pump being stuck or bad, or the filter being plugged, or vapor lock (try loosening the fuel cap, does it pull in air?)

I have a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SSE.. won't start

It sounds like you have a short somewhere that is draining the battery...this type of thing is usually caused by a faulty voltage regulator. I recommend taking the alternator to an autoparts store to have it tested...don't be surprised if the alternator tests good; a faulty voltage regulator can and will drain a battery in a matter of hours. I am including a link where you can order a voltage regulator for your Bonneville or, while you are at the autoparts store, you can buy one there. The link will help you to see what the voltage regulator looks like so you can identify it in your engine compartment. Hope this helps, good luck!

95 Bonneville won't start when hot

Yes I know, but If you hold the accelerator pedal to the floor on a fuel injected car, the Throttle position sensor will tell the computer to enter clear flood mode. Then the computer will shut off the fuel injectors while you have the pedal to the floor. If it is flooded, you should be able to get it started in clear flood.
