Changed O2 Sensor, MAP Sensor, Air Filters fine, Changed Fuel Filter...But it still Bogs down when trying to accelerate. What is the problem?
My 89 cutlass did the same thing....She would bog down ( when the service engine light came on)....Light would go off and she would run fine...Shop replaced fuel fiter and KNOCK SENSOR, runs great now, the service engine light stays off too. Ran a can of MG injector cleaner thru too.
Working on Mom's car for three days now I've just about pulled all my hair out ! The dam thing would bog as i tried to accelerate over 700 RPM. We replaced the MAP,TPS,FUELPUMP,and i ohm-ed out everything under the hood, and then i found it!! The CRANK POSITION SENSOR had cracks around the base of the sensor and had oil seeping out.Check out pic.I hope this could be of some help...
I had a bad crank sensor-never a code - no fire- replaced that - all ok except= engine -when driveing giving slow throttle even up to 70mph -all ok -accelerate quickly - backfire & boggs -picks up -bogs again. Likely TPS im guessing -shows no codes also . I also have recently changed fuel filter & fuel pump .

Look at how much exaust pressure is coming from the tail pipe, and if the speed of exaust increases when you step on the gas.... possibly a restricted exaust, or cat converter.
It sounds as if the catalyst converter may be stopped up. If you can loosen the exhaust until there is a gap between the manifold and pipe drive the vehicle and see if there is a difference. If it is restricted then you will have to replace the converter.
Hello, If your car has a map sensor it will not have a mass air folw sensor. You may need to check to see if you have 35 pounds of fuel pressure. If not then you will have a fuel problem. Thank You
Hello, you will have to go to an auto supply store and see if they have a good fuel pressure guage with several different fittings. Not one of the cheap sets they wont have the fittings, or you may have to make one work but you are going to have to disconnect the fuel filter under the car and put the guage into one side of it. Then turn the key on and read the pressure while the pump is running.Even though you may see alot of fuel comming out of the filter when you disconnect it, it has to have pressure along with volume where the guage wont lie. It could possibly be the tps and you could try it first it is mounted to the side of the trottle body oposite of the throttle cable. black and round peice , but it is really going to be a decision you make. thank you

No thats not it...checked it, I think its the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Where would that be located?
Ok...Good to know, How would I check my fuel pressure???
Could it possibly be the Throttle Position Sensor???
When I accelerate it sounds like it is miss firing but when idleing it sounds fine
