Button. My Suzuki Forenza 2008 trunk release button stopped working. Along with that even the both power side mirrors stopped working.
Fuse blown
fuse that look good can be bad, if they look bad, they are.
use any DMM meter, use Rx1 ohm range. check for fuse continuity.
if zero ohms , iTs good, and the meter never lies.
learn to use the meter.
if the fuse is good, use the same meter, to measure voltage
and trace the wires to the failing point. (open circuit)

Check if the kill switch is engaged. Check for faulty starter solenoid or disconnected solenoid wire. Check for defective ignition switch. Check for defective starter motor.

Look for a blown or bad fuse. You will need a test light or a meter to do this. Look in your owners manual for locations.

Power steering light?? Maybe it's something else.
SOURCE: I have a 2004 Suzuki Forenza, the interior lights
I have a 2004 Forenza. Don't know about the washer. The 15A fuse marked "I/P" next to the "Fuel Pump" fuse in the main relay center under the hood disables my trunk release and interior lights.
Found this out because the battery started to drain and die within a week. Several mechanics/electricians looked at it but couldn't figure out why. One pulled out that fuse and now the battery holds up fine. Problem is I don't have the use of the interior lights or trunk release.
Does anyone know what the cause of the battery drain is? Has something ground out? Btw, I got a small shock the last time I played with that fuse. Not sure if that's a sign of anything.

look at your belt tensioner, or belts for powersteering may control brakes as well look for looseness
