However, I can not find an inertia switch. I have a 1998 Jaguar XK8 convertible. Does being a convertible make a difference in this switch's location? I removed the passenger kick panel and also checked in the fuse box door on the dash at the passenger side. Thank you.
this is a common problem with gm vehicles your low coolant sensor is bad, depending on which engine you have,it will be located in the coolant jug, or it will be a 2" square sensor near the top of the passenger side of the radiator end tank
There is a small float within the coolant tank, if the coolant level becomes too low the indicator light will illuminate. Bringthe engine up to running temperature, look for any leaks, add coolant to the tank to the proper mark. It should note "leval when hot" this should turn the light off too. If not the float may be stuck in a down or "on" position.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom
