Jan 28, 2011 - Hi. You can disable the On Star system by pulling the fuse labeled INFO which is a 15 amp fuse located in the under hood fuse box.

Check batry terminals are secure & free from corosion, check security of earth strap to engine & main power wire on starter, if ok have the batry load tested to ensure it can perform under load as the starter needs a lot of current. Have you tried a jump start?
We just went through this with our 2003 Rendevous. Clicking like crazy but wouldn't start. Replaced the starter but still doing the same thing. Our next step was going to be replace the battery (which tested well) and the ignition assembly. Out of frustration, I hit the top of the hood and the headlights came on!! Further investigaton proved that the problem was a corroded ground wire on the battery. Hope this helps
I would suspect the fuel pump is the problem, it may be sticking at times and this causes a no start. The pump is located inside the fuel tank and it is electric.
There are four fuses that can affect the cruise control. In the underhood fuse panel, fuses #12 & 22, and in the rear fuse panel, fuses #34 & 39. There are other things that can stop the CC from working, stuck brake light switch, bad vehicle speed sensor, certain fault codes set by the computer, to name a few.
Check where the blower power plugs into the blower housing under the hood. Disconnect the power connector and you will see that the 'plate' that the connector was plugged into can be removed. Remove it; that is the resistor.
Why yes there is. It's #46 under the hood. Switch relay #45 with #46, do you now have lights? Either clean the contacts by pushing it in and out of the fuse box, or buy a new relay. Cleaning the relay worked for me, but I keep a spare just in case. Very common problem with Envoys and Trailblazers.
