use a three arm puller to remove this , useing a prybar on the flywheel will cause teeth damage and make for more repairs .

SOURCE: HOW DO YOU REPLACE A

The sensor should be mounted with 2 screws. The location should be between the airfilter box and the engine or the otherside of the engine where the belts are located, and would be near the timing cover.
To help locate it, it will look like this;

Some of these late 05 models have the sensor located on the bellhousing of the trans where the flywheel is located

I have a 2000 hyundai Sonata, 6 cylinder eng. My

The sensor is located on the left hand rear side of the block (near the bell housing). It is held in place by a 10mm bolt. It's to the right of the exhaust manifold (LH - radiator side) on the V6. Once you purchase the new sensor you'll be able to identify it on the engine. The connector to this sensor is located in the illustration.

The crankshaft sensor determines when to fire the plugs; if it has failed, no plugs will fire.
If you have no mechanic friends who know how to test this sensor, you should probably invest in an aftermarket service manual. They have simple tests for most sensors and conditions that don't require costly equipment or detailed knowledge.
I prefer Haynes and they are available on line here:

You may also find them elsewhere for a few dollars less.
