Nikki is the engine light on, are there any codes, have you had a tune up or any other work done lately.when you say it won't start when warm(do you mean engine will not turn over, or does engine turn and refuses to fire.
If I had to guess failing fuel pump, they tend not to build fuel pressure when ran a while(warmed up) and when left to cool build somewhat better pressure.

No Engine I know of has a 1,2,3,4, fitting I am sure you have the firing order connected wrong, plus your description point to the firing order as well. Cheers, Malcolm Campbell.
Easy way to check plugs wires while driving, get 4 or 6 small neon lamps depending on how many cylinders, the neon lamps used in appliances to show they are on are good NOT LEDs.
Remove resistors from neon and connect one side of neon lamps together and earth to body, take other side of each lamp and solder long single telephonr wire and wind about 10 turns around each plug wire insulation a little way from plug leave end of this wire disconnected. make sure the end of wire does not earth anywhere on body leave unconnected. the high voltage going through plug wire will induce enough voltage to fire neon and show plug works if one neon does not flicker as plug fires it the bad one.
This will only show electrical misfire not injector problem.
The best time to do this test is at night neons will flicker bright at night. As a mechanic how to check injector and injector voltage.
NO!! all the light is telling you is that the on-board computer has seen one of its sensors out of range, could be as simple as the gas cap is loose, so don't panic. take the car to your local Auto Zone and they can pull the code from the computer system and give you an idea if it something you can take care of yourself, but if the check engine light is flashing than you have an engine miss fire and that you should take care of as soon as possible......HAVE FUN
who knows what your car needs. but if you have anywhere near 90k miles or if you know it has never been replaced. replace the timing belt, tensioner and water pump ASAP. If it breaks, the engine is trashed and a Neon isnt going to be worth a new engine.
check fusable link in wiring harness this is between battery and firewall if this is burned out ,you have a serious electrical problem if not that, check computer
You'll need to determine if it's getting fuel, & spark, if you know how to check it. Also try cycling key on, off, on, off, on, and leave on and count flashes from check engine light. Will always be 2 digit number. For example flash, short pause, flash would be code 11, flash, flash, flash, pause, flash flash, would be 32. After every 2 number set, it will pause a little longer then start again if more codes are present. Try this and write them down & get back to us. These are trouble codes to try & tell you whats wrong.
11= Timing belt skipped 1 tooth or more from initial learned value,
Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, No
crank reference signal detected during engine cranking for dodge odb readout. Hope this helps.
