If it's a factory alarm, unlocking the door with the key will usually disarm the system.

I've had this exact problem before when being jumped off. The fob DOES NOT make it stop. We removed the fuse that goes to the horn. As soon as your battery gets recharged from the alternator, the fob will work again and the alarm will quit sounding. The only pain about removing the fuse is that the cruise control will not work until you put it back.

Ok the wire that goes from horn itself to steering wheel is being grounded. it is completing the circuit find the negative wire on the horn itself and follow it and see if it is rubbing on any metal parts of car causing it to ground. if not then on your steering wheel the button or one of the buttons are stuck or shorted. or could be a stuck horn relay try tapping it lightly. Relays are not always where the fuses are check your manual where the horn relay is.

Oh ok then it is the alarm. Yes you must deactivate it using your keychain remote. after you reconnect a charged battery or a jump would casue it to go off. It should reset itself. If it is aftermarket alarm system i cannot help for there are so many kinds It could lose the program codes when you disconnect battery for extended amounts of time meaning you have to go to an installer so they can reprogram it.I hope this helps. If you still cant get it to shut off i would disconnect the horn connections so you will not get other drivers mad at you haha. and bring it to an audio installer and see what they can do for you. They shouldnt charge you to tell you the problem.

Your car is in theft mode. Try turning the key in the door. This disarms most factory alarms.

When i start my 96 mustang gt the horn is blowing

PATS does not blow the horn. Pull the horn fuse to see if that stops the draw. Then troubleshoot the horn circuit to see where the power is coming from. You can start at the horn relay. The relay gets a ground signal from the horn switch in the steering wheel. If that signal is constant, the problem is upstream of the relay--perhaps within the steering wheel. Do not remove the steering wheel to troubleshoot without disarming the airbag.

Won't start, battery okay, horn blowing

It takes a lot less power to blow a horn.
I have been reluctant to use horn or lights as an indication of a good battery.
To find out definitively, jump start the vehicle; if it starts you need atleast a batter maybe an alternator as well.
If it does not start with a jump possibly bad starter or power to the starter.
I would eliminate the battery first.

I came back from vacation my 2000 honda accord would not start battery is dead. I got a jump from someone. The car started right up but the horn continuously blows and wont shut off. Had to have car towed...

replace the horn relay;or the horn button on the steering wheel is grounded and energizing the horn. any maintenance involving the steering wheel can be dangerous becaus of the air bag. if you just want to stop the horn, remove the relay, probably located in the fuse box under the hood. check the manual for location, but if your state has a safety inspection it will need to be fixed before the inspection is due

The car will not start

replace your battery. Even when a battery is dead it will still have enough juice to operate smal things like the horn and radio, but not enough juice to start the car. If the battery is dead you should still be able to jump start it and take it to autozone and they can check it along with the alternator at the same time.
