2004 honda crv brake lights don't work

My 2004 Honda CRV's rear brake lights are not working. Fuses look fine, bulbs look fine, I replaced the brake light switch on the brake pedal and still no lights. What's the next step?

Did you check the fuses with a test light? A fuse can look OK, but unless you test continuity or use a test light, you could be mislead.

SOURCE: '04 honda crv bulb change

Its a 5 Watt light bulb. Just pull it out and take it to the store with you. Just remove the license plate to get to it.

SOURCE: 2004 honda crv brake won't release

Your emergency brake is a mechanical brake system that is indipendant of the regular hydrolic system. If the red brake light on the dash is on make sure it's the emerg. brake and not a problem with the fluid level or the calapers sticking. the best way to check the emerg. brake is to rase both rear wheels off the ground and spin them. If they spin, the emerg. brake is not locked up. If they don't spin, take the rear tires off and the brake drums. (you may have rear disk brakes.) check the springs to insure they are all hooked up properly. If there is no problem there, follow the parking brake cable to check for damage. The cable is like a brake cable on a bike, If the inner cable is binding inside the cable sleeve, the brake wont release. If you have rear disc, it's probly a bad calaper. The park brake cable is attached to the calapers. Rember if it wont run it's annoying but if it won't stop, it's deadly. DON"T experiment with brakes!!! If in doubt, take it to a pro.

SOURCE: 2004 Honda CRV Check Engine light

the check engine lamp is not affected by things like tyres, brakes etc. It shows that the vehicles engine management system had detected a fault with the engine or engine sensors. Check the engine for broken or disconnected wiring (maybe it was disconnected during the replacing of the hoses but not reconnected). If you fail to locate anything, check the manual for the correct fault code retrieval procedure or take the vehicle to a professional. Tyres may affect your ABS system or Airbag systems but they usually have their own warning lamp and are unrelated to the check engine lamp..

2011 Honda CRV. Right brake light is on with headlights; hit brake, left brakelight brightens;right remains dim. Headlamps off, hit brake, only left lamp lights. Bulb works. Is it a fuse problem?

Your right brake light is fried. The fact that you see rear lights on both sides has nothing to do with the fact that the right brake light is out. Your brake lights and rear running lights are not the same bulbs. Go to Advance Auto Parts. They may even replace it for you. Not a big deal.

Honda crv 2003 brake light fuse

For a 2003 Honda CRV, disconnect the horn fuse (#7), located in the under hood fuse box. This will also kill the rear lights. My underhood fuse box did not match glvenu's pic above, didn't have the 2 fuses circled together. The #7 fuse in my CR-V is located below the single fuse circled in the pic above.
