The plastic line in the wiring harness goes to the heater controls; and believe it or not , the other end goes to the vacuum tank - but its in the FENDER !!!!! behind the ABS, kinda under the drivers side hood hinge - great place to put one ain't it ? No wonder GM is going broke !! Good Luck

Looking from vehicle front to rear, there must be the layout, there are three connections along the top. From left to right, the connections are Front Left Wheel, Front Right Wheel, and the Connector near Left Rear Wheel that serves both rear wheels. The bottom two connections go to the Master Cylinder. The Left Connection goes to the rear Master Cylinder Connection and the Right Connection goes to the front Master Cylinder Connection.

Good Luck.

I cant find any diagram for the routing of the lines. Most of the time it is just a fitting and these can be purchased from parts stores and the dealer. You can repair lines if a hole is rubbedin the metal part by cutting and using a compression fitting to repair. If your model has rubber hose at the radiator end then you will need to replace it with transmission or power steering hose.Do not use feul line or plain rubber hose. These are not made from the correct material and will swell and burst.I dont care what the guy says at the parts store feul line is not ok!Unless you have a HD truck you should be dealing with 5/16 (8mm) metal and or hose.Clean the leaking area with brake clean and get it dry , make sure transmission is full and crank the truck and let it run while you pinpoint the leak.Good luck and let me know if i can help.P/s if you decide to replace the lines you can purchase the bent to fit from the dealer.Dont try bending yourself ,it has taking me years to master this.

2003 rav 4, just replaced front calipers and pads, after bleeding the line, peddle was spongie, bled all four lines, peddle still spongie, do I need the engine running to properly bleed the lines, and since...

I would bleed the rears too especially if the brake fluid reservoir drained empty. Also you may need to drive the vehicle to seat the brake pads. Check and see how the pedal feels initially before you road test to make sure you don't need to pump the brakes in order to stop. if you do then re bleed all four wheels. If you don't have to pump the pedal and it just feels spongy then try going around the block a few times and see if the pedal stiffens up after the pads have seated.
