Does the blower motor work on any speed? If it does then most likely your resistor block failed. If the blower motor doesn't work at all then you either have a problem with the motor or the control unit. The motor is located under the dash on the passenger side. If the motor works but blows cold make sure the coolant level is correct.

Blower motor only works on high

This is a problem that is due in every case to a failed blower motor speed control resistor. the blower motor resistor is located right next to the blower motor and the wiring harness connector sticks out of the air ducting that cools it.

My 1999 alero fan will not work.I have replaced the blower motor and checked fuses and still nothing. The heat and air are working fine just not blowing.

Its either a bad connection on the blower motor resistor or a faulty blower motor resistor. These are known for over heating.

99 Dodge durango heater not working

The blowers ion the back have there own blower motor. The front has it's own. The resister controls the range the blower motor runs on,( low, medium, high). If the blower motor is not working it may be the motor itself. Was the fuse checked:?

Limited heat

first, check the fuse for the blower motor. If ok, you may have a bad switch or bad blower motor. If you are a techie, you should jumper 12 volts to the blower motor hot terminal. see if it blows then. You also have a blower motor resister that gives you the 4 blower speeds, but usually when it fails, you have high speed only.

good luck

1996 ford taurus

If you can, check if there is voltage at the blower motor connector with the ignition on and the engine not running. If you have voltage, the blower is bad. If no voltage, it may be a bad blower switch, the blower motor resistor assembly, or the wiring between them.

The resistor assembly is on the evaporator housing under the dash on the passenger side and near the blower motor. The glove box must be removed to check this and the blower. A thermal limiter resistor is built into the resistor assembly and will open, ie melt, with excessive heat.

Without more details on this, it appears either your blower motor or the blower motor resistor assembly is bad.
