Why do you need to remove the windshield? The sensor is attached to the inside of the glass and can be remove separately.
Most modern windshields are bonded into place. That means they use a type of glue to fit them. You safest option is to get a good windshield fitting company to do it for you.
The glue they use has to be cut out. If that's not possible you might need to smash the glass to remove the windshield.
hard top or convertible.?
I guess at hard.
Not side rear. or doors., but rear rear. as in rear view.
rear window. glass out? why not say why so can see JOB ? at hand.
eg: my rear view glass is broken.?

Stationary Windows
Stationary glass is removed and installed using the same procedure as the windshield. Refer to Windshield Glass Removal and Installation. (first hit ,btw) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dp2VVvPlXc

best solution is......
Call the same company to come out and point to rear .?
they sell a special tool to get out a window.
it has 2 , "T" handles and rod saw. to cut out the glue/caulk.
the glue comes out more easy on a hot day.
its not really glass, it's an occupant containing device, today.
the best caulk is.
3M 08693 Auto Glass Urethane Windshield Adhesive Cartridge
how is my guess.... on car, and glass and reasons.
windshield's are made of laminated glass so they shatter into tiny pieces when in an accident so do not cut as bad , the rearview mirror has pulled the first layer of laminate away , the windshield will be weakened by this and could shatter at any time , particulary over rough/bumpy ground, it cannot be repaired so you will need to replace the shield , as for who designed the mirror he wasn't very clever !
fixing rear rear glass or wind shield you need special fast setting adhesive caulk materials and some tools at the auto parts stores.this job best for body shop to fix.
They are glued in with Urethane adhesive sealant and must be cut out. There are special tools for cutting it. You can use an "L" shaped knife with a cable to pull it or something like a piano wire to saw through it. You will need some help from a good friend. Be sure to treat all the metal and glass that will be exposed to the urethane window weld with a special primer that is made for that purpose.
Best thing you could do here is contact a body shop or windshield replacement business. Shop manuals do not describe procedures for replacing windshield glass.
Erm windshield not fitted properly. Take it up with the company who replaced them. The seals around the shield may have been distorted when glass was replaced. New seals should do the trick. If cost is a problem a little rubber weld at the right point if you can locate it will stop the damp
The rear window glass is glued in. This is best left to a glass professional, as the glue type & proceedure is very specific. Why? Because the rear glass, as well as the front glass, performs a secondary function to hold the roof panel somewhat solidly in the case of a roll-over. If the glass is not glued in properly, the event of an accident of this type may not compress the glass at the proper breakage point, which is bad. Best solution: Get a trained glass professional to do it for you.
Sorry to post this type of solution, but this is def a safety issue.
