The dealer said the bearing block was bad. The drive line clunks when you start out but smooths out at highway speeds. Are there any replacement parts for this?
Please be more specific here if you can ,as bearing block means nothing to me here ,do you mean the universal propshaft hooks cross ,if so then parts are available but it may mean have the shaft machined to accept the circlip as some models just hammed over instead of a circlip but this is repairable in a machine shop who can cut a groove for the circlip to hold the joint in place

What you need to do is remove the 2 screws on the top bezel from inside the engine bay, then underneath the outer corner of the plastic headlamp surround there is a philips screw, (put your head under neath car near from wheel) loosen the screw, do not remove it, now the headlamp plastic bezel/surround will come free enough so you can get a philips screwdriver in through the middle of the headlamp surround, there is a chrome retaining ring holding the headlamp in place, loosen the 3 philips screws (do not remove) The retaining ring will rotate and you can slide the ring out from the outer edge of the headlamp surround. The headlamp will then come out throught the middle of the surround, disconnect the 3 pin multiplug and reverse process for install.

Drain the tank as much as you can and put the gas into a 5 gallon bucket or a gas can, then you need to drop the gas tank down, after you do that you can take out the screws from the pump and it will out.

If there is a power drain - new battery or old - it needs to be well charged to start the car..
If the batt is charged well - it could be the starter solinoid or the starter..
However - the typical "clicking sound" is usually a low battery..
IF the batt is low - could be the charging sytem or a power drain ..

I searched under the year, make and model but found the XJ6 rather than the XJS. It costs $19.95 plus shipping.
