97 town and country LXI mini van speedometer and tach not working
I just pick up this unit and got it on the road. the battery was dead. The speedometer and Tach do not work, buthe rest of the gauges do?? any suggestions?
Re: 97 town and country LXI mini van speedometer and tach...
The cluster needs to be calibrated to the pcm before the speedo and tach will work. You will have to take it to the dealer to have it done. The last time I had to do it, it cost me 70 dollars.

This is a very common problem on 1998 dodge caravan, voyager, t and County. You have a cracked circuit board in your instrument cluster. It is a dealer item. You can remove your cluster and install the circuit board yourself to save money but after the install you will have to take the vehicle back to the dealer to have it calibrated before the tach and the speedometer will work.
Did you try inserting the key in the drivers side door and locking and unlocking it manually several times to reset the alarm system. This was the problem with my 1996 Chrysler Town & Country LXI
I know that on my 98 cirrus lxi, we blew the PCM thats the powertrain control modul while trying to jump start it, should be located near the fuse box near the fender
Thanks they got it fixed for me
How much did they charge?
