1995 lincoln mark viii code 524 car misses alot while driving

Car misses alot in low rpm range and get code 524 from code reader

    i have changed plugs and filters and it hasnt helped the trouble code 524 is something to do with low speed fuel pump circuit

    just changed fuel filter and air and plugs didnt help at all. the miss gets worse and starting to backfire a lil while missig

    MAF could be dirty clen with like break cleaner,vacuum leak,low fuel pressure,

    found 2 vacume leaks fixed them cleaned maf and still doing the same didnt help

change tranny fluid with mercon v also can add friction modifier (ford part# m-19546-a) and be sure to drain torque converter as well. should fix ya

If I read your statement correctly, you are saying you are loosing fuel pressure after 4 hours.
Could be a problem with the check valve in the pump or one of the injectors is leaking into a cylinder.

this is code 524, its meaning is- low oil pressure- 5 times is 5, 2 times is 2, and 4 times is 4. count the flashes, when a pause then it goes to next number of flashes.

RPM On Lincoln Mark VIII 1993 Idling up to 1500 -2000 RPM

Mine did same thing. I have a 95 Mark VIII LSC and took it to dealer after troubleshooting for two days. Turned out to be Throttle Position Sensor. With Diagnostic fee it cost about $350 including labor. Hope this helps- Mike
