Power door locks dont work

My power door locks don't work, actually they haven't worked since i bought the car. I can hear it clicking under the dash when i flip the switch and nothing happens. I also can hear it clicking under the dash when i lock the door manually. The part that is clicking also runs my dash lights, and dome lights and they are working fine. I replaced that part and nothing happened. Also when i turn the key in the door it is supposed to lock or unlock the car doors by turning it in either direction twice but neither of those actions work.

Hello on the door locks not working could be a couple problems open the driver side door and were the door hinges are there is a small tube with wires in there that runs from the door into the side of the kick panel inside of the car these wires are your windowns locks and more now were the door open you will have to cut tube with a razr knife so you can see if any of the wires are broken now if there is no wires broken now the power door lock actuators inside the front right-and left door could be bad or the door look swiches this is not unlikey you can check this by removing the door panel you will see a rod or cable going from the door lock down the bottom of the door

now on the key not working that sounds like the door lock rods there that hooks to the lock on the inside of the door is off or one of the plastic clips that hold the rods has broken if it is not locking or unlocking your doors it is not unlikey for both sides to be broken you will have to remove the door panels to check

Most likely the brain of the system went. Your better off buying a remote start for around $200 installed which has keyless entry included and can be performed by most audio expert installers. If you could care less about auto start then you can get a new keyless entry for around 100-150 dollars installed.

Doors wont lock. Windows won't work. Car thinks the door is locked because when I open the hood alarm goes off. Security light is flashing when doors are closed. Locks don't engage when driving...

Window fuse's and relay's may be up under driver or passenger side dash or behind glove box, under the hood and even under the seats, and finally on the ends of the dash. All passenger power windows and locks are controlled thru and get power from the master control switch on the drivers door. Could be a broken wire in the rubber boot going from the door to the body. You will have to eliminate each till you find the culprit. Check that all switches return to neutral when released. It could also be the body control module.

Finding wiring diagrams an testing the circuits is the only way you will be able to diagnose , you won't have the tool he used . lab scope . Check wiring inside the rubber boot from the body to the door's , for broken wire's .

The remote to my 2002 cadillac deville dont unlock or lock my doors or open my trunk like it used to. my power locks dont work. i got in the car last week and on car display says theft attempt, the lights...

Either via an actual theft attempt or you (or someone with your keys) not realizing that you/they actually armed the vehicle and opened the door or trunk afterwards.

Essentially this sounds like the vehicle was entered after being armed and the proper precedures not met to reset it.

The car may just need to be locked from the outside with the key (not the remote or keyless entry) while the doors are closed and windows are up, and then also unlocked with the key...

However it sounds as though you have perhaps driven it since then. If this is the case

You may want to check all your fuses and replace the ones affected by the anti theft system.
Security - Pwr Locks - Horn - Pwr Trunk Release _ Int Lights - and maybe The Emergency Flasher as well.

Be sure and check under the Dash, Hood and under the Back seat.

Cadillac recommends after a theft attempt, the vehicle may need to be serviced. So I recommend going through the fuses first, even replacing the battery in your remote fob and then if the problems still persist. have the vehicle serviced.

Good Luck and Happy Motoring

Power locks don't lock or unlock hear noise under dash near glove box i was wondering if relay switch is no good.hear clicking noise in relay, when trying to unlock or lock doors

if the relay is clicking, its most likely working, sounds like signal from relay is not getting back to doors to unlock doors,I would check for damaged wiring at pivot point of door(hinge) area, all the wiring goes through a large rubber accordion looking tube, pull back one side of rubber and inspect wiring for damage

1993 Nissan Maxima SE Car Alarm freaks out, and other electrical

Im no professional but i did recently buy a 93 maxima and i have the same security alarm problem and my powered locks dont work at all. im taking off the door panel today to take a look and see if the alarm sensor is loose or damaged, if it is, ill probably just disconnect it. one thing i have noticed though is that when i hit the lock or unlock button, i hear a faint click from the dashboard area which im assuming is the solenoid on a transistor which would mean that the buttons work but the transistor isnt delivering power. Semi-Solution for Locks: Listen for very quiet click when you lock/unlock doors, if you hear it, uve got major work to do, if you dont, then take apart the door and check the switch connections. Semi-Solution for Alarm: take off the door panel and disconnect the sensor.
