Need to know location of the fuel pump relay on a 1991 Geo tracker.
The fuel pump relays are mounted on an "L" bracket underneath the ECM. Both have something to do with the Fuel pump. Be careful not to get it confused with the horn relay it is in the same vicinity (under the dash on the drivers side).
There is no relay in the tank
the fuel pump relay moved 4 times 89 to 2004
91 is green socket below, ECU (behind left front speaker)

Its located up by the fuse block it is a bigger rely and has a green plug on it.
This helped me find the relay which I was disconnecting to depressurize the fuel system. But when I disconnect it the the fuel pump runs continuously instead of just 3 seconds when you turn on the ignition. It also makes a beeping sound (coming from the disconnected relay) and in time with it the pumps makes a change in RPM. So the relay connector is shorting out, I surmise? Any help?

you pulled the wrong relay , that is for sure. start fresh post with cars, year, model, and country.

while driving down the street my 1991 tracker suddenly stopped as if to run out of gas. now we are going thru the owners manuel (yes it came with the used vehicle) and cant find the fuse for the gas relay.
