Hi all got myself an Audi A6 54reg and the stereo/navigation screen had gone blank along with the control panel on the console. Checked all the fuses with a tester and all seem well so now at a dead end!. Anyone know of any hidden fuses that maybe the cause of this?. Kind regards Mac

There are 2 fuse panels in the Denali.
One is a panel on the drivers side, its on the dash but facing the door.
The ohter is under the dash and above the pedals, this one is much tougher to access.
Your Owner's Manual should tell you where the fuses are that you need to access.

in my galant the problem ended up being resolved by my pulling out the entire instrument panel and all 5 or 6 or 8 bulbs were blown. It cost less than 10 dollars. just be careful though...i removed some of the instrument needles which i didn't need to do and lost one in the dash somewhere and lost some of the calibration as well. the whole panel just comes out and you can remove and insert bulbs easily from the back side. havent resolved the lighting problem with my shift lights though, they come and go and i sometimes cant see the gear finder either. but i can see my gauges now so that is a relief. no more small flashlights........!my gear shifter is center seat on the floor.
SOURCE: HUD will not light up
If you peek down inside the windshield, you'll probably see the HUD is working. A common issue is that the adjustment spring will break, making the HUD invisible because it is adjusted out of range. The spring can be replaced by removing the cluster then the HUD unit.

Assuming you have right hand drive cougar, you can access the fuse box right under the glove box under dash. Use a torch and you will find a small pull down clip and when you pul it down it drops the whole fuse box. This is a common problem with Cougars. To my knowledge fuse is not the culprit, however its good to check. Most of the issues are related to ABS module. It is placed in the engine bay where it exposed to heavy vibrations (poor design) and some times the module will crack and sometimes it just electronic issue. Get the car scanned for fault codes and that will tell you what is the exact issue. If it turns out to be the ABS module you can get the module repaired if its not cracked or broken or buy a second hand one from wreckers if you can find one under $100 or $150. New one will cost a fortune. Let me know how you go, I can further assist in getting the module repaired, etc. FYI there is no need to remove or replace ABS unit if the ABS module is faulty. You dont need to touch it at all, just take out the ABS module (ECU).
