My seat broke on my 2002 chevy impala which has power seats. I have found the same seat in a 2003 chevy impala in a junkyard. The car has no power how do i remove the seat with out power or deploying the side airbags in the seat.? Also is there a way to replace the the power seat with a non-power seat and bypass the side airbag sensor

Use a flex head ratchet wrench to remove the seat, or temporary battery to power the seat, non power seat will fit but disabling you side air bag will shut down the whole SRS, and no air bags will work, this is against the law in some states

SOURCE: trying to remove seats with side airbags.

unhook battery for at least 5 minutes and then it is safe to unplug seat bags.

Testimonial: "confirmed that the entire airbag system will disable if removed and there will be fault messages. no bypass or alternate modules will allow removal"

2009 impala driver side power seat won't move up/down, makes whirring sound when attempted. Moves forward backward. Passenger seat works properly.

Before you do any of the expensive things disconnect and reconnect the wiring to the seat I had the same exact problem with my 2009 Chevy Impala and was ready to take it to the dealer when I disconnected the power cables to it and reconnected them I found that one of the Harnesses was loose and the problem was solved

The power seat on my 2001 chevy blazer doesn't work

you can't realistically buy a new one so your choices are:

find a similar used non power seat in a junkyard, unbolt yours and bolt it in. then buy seat covers which more or less match the rest of your interior

find a similar used working power seat in a junkyard, unbolt yours and bolt it in. then buy seat covers which more or less match the rest of your interior.

find a used similar working power seat in a junkyard, unbolt yours and swap the internal working electrical parts from the one in the junkyard, then bolt yours back in.

My drivers heated seat is not working in my 2003 chevy impala and it also shifts hard.

1.)heated seat is usually the heating elements under the seat cover.
2.)shifting is likely a pc solenoid and valve body.CODE associated with this is a p1811.If your vehicle has high miles or there is alot of debris in the pan of the trans, then I would suggest a reman trans.

My driver side heated seat has quit working. But passanger side still works. Is there a fuse i can check for this. Thanks 2001 chevy impala

more than likely it is the heating element in the seat that went bad. if there is a light on the switch it should be getting power and the heating elements under the seat coushin do go bad. it is not an uncommon thing.
