the w202 has stick needles on the clocks i have tryed all sorts to try and stop this the latest thing is i took the clock out and scraped the paint off the pins the needles rest on and touch wood its been ok its got somthing to do with a static build up and the needles stick so there like a magnet or so my merc deler told me
check your volt gauge on the dash. if it's working properly, then your car is throwing a bad code. if the battery looks as though it's taking more than 14 volts, or less than 10, you have a problem.
Hello drtonyg... This is an electronic shifter controler on the C230...Almost every time they fail the shifter assy. needs replaced as a whole unit....There have been some techs that have tried to clean and repair the shifter assembly and reuse it but most attempts fail..You can disconnect the shift linkage from the shifter assembly underneath the vehicle and then see if your shifter moves all the way(this would eliminate any shifter assembly failures) Good luck, i hope this helps...please rate me a fixya.
hi,better to put your car in a car lifter,to determine the noise,if you suspected that your trans. create the noise,remove your trans. oil pan,now you can see,if there is a metal chip or like a fine dust, or quality of oil, mechanical parts are maybe defect,better to consult or evaluate your trans.by your dealer,ty
i have a 2000 kompressor .106,000 miles i have the 3rd changer in it .you can get on ebay for $250.00 ,get 6 while you are at it you wiil need them ,they only last about 6 months.Dealer said it was because of burnt cds ??
