The car was recently worked on had a problem with the ignition it would take 10-15 turns before car would start it also had a lower intake gasket was leaking antifreeze the leak was fixed the ignition was replaced and supposedly the bcm was replaced but now when u start the car it runs fine in park at a low rpm as soon as u bring up the rpms in park it sputters and pops I thought it was the catylitic converer so I completely took it off car I still have the same problem any suggestions please let me know at whits end
Suggest you check the fuel pump pressure sounds like its on the low side
no i also forgot to mention plugs,wires,fuel pump reg,and coil and modulater it seems like its still dumping to much
try the fuel pressure anyway nothing to lose here but without my head under the bonnet and a drive its very difficult to point you in the right direction ,but try a compression test and take all the plugs out first then test the compression couldnt realy see a blown gasket or a burnt valve causing this but who start at the begining all over again ,was the parts fitted new or from a scrappers ??

A quick check you can do to help your troubleshooting is to remove the radiator cap then start the vehicle. (Ensure radiator filled so you can see fluid level). Watch the fluid inside the radiator. Initially after you start the vehicle you will get some small air bubbles but they should go away in less then a minute. If after a couple minutes you have bubbles continually coming up or it starts bubbling out of radiator then you can bet on the Head gasket. If you do not get the bubbles it dosen't rule out either one but if they are there as described then you can look at the head gasket.

$400 is a very good price for it, very long process. Took my mechanic 6 hours on my 99 Malibu, have to remove the head. $700 for my malibu

no fan comes on when engine cold start up .but it will come on when you turn on air conditioning or defrost on .if engine idling a while when temp get 190 degree the fan will kick on.if over heating you got air in system .wait until cools check coolant add more .crank engine let it idle few. minutes when start warming up turn off engine wait a while before removing radiator cap so you wont get scald.add more coolant .crank it again starting warming up turn off engine wait a while .add coolant .keep doing this procedure until your coolant stop dropping off .if you do this more than 6 times you got a leak some where.check crank level for signs.if oil level higher than normal.if everything looking good.when engine cool make sure add coolant to over flow jug cold level mark.

replace the gasket but I would take it to a shop if you are not familiar with that engine the injection system will have to come out and it is delicate.

also forgot to mention plugs,wires,coils and moduler,fuel pump regulator,were replaced i checked the egr and i blew it out it looked fine but still dealing with problem any suggestions
