SOURCE: Can not open trunk, Jaguar s-type

Look under the "U" in "Jaguar" on the chrome strip on the trunk. You'll find a key slot where you can insert your ignition key. You may have to remove the license tag frame (if you have one) to get the key into the slot.

SOURCE: My key won't open the trunk of my car. Jaguar XJ6

May not be the answer but something I just learned. I was handed the "key" to my aunt's XJ6 and she asked me to clean it up for her,,, but what I found was that the "key" she handed me was the VALET key and would not open the trunk. I had to go back and get the other key from her. The VALET key was green while the masters that open all are black.

93 jaguar keys stolen and batteries dead . How do i get the trunk to open

If its just a matter of getting the trunk open, and aren't planning to keep the car, I would either jump the car to another running car long enough to open the trunk or pull a good battery out of another vehicle and hook it up long enough to open the trunk. you shouldn't have to even start it just get power long enough to have the truck release work. You might first check and see if there is a release on the back seat to bring one side down and access the trunk from there.

My jaguar is dead I can't open my trunk to charge

I am not familiar with the Jag, however. If there is no manual trunk release or no key operated release mechanism, all may not be lost. Auto parts stores and some department stores sell a temporary power supply that operates on a small battery and plugs into your cigarett lighter. These are used to retain computer and radio settings when it is neccessary to disconnect the vehicles primary battery. This might offer enough voltage to open the trunk and allow access to the primary battery. Good Luck Vern

Dead battery located in trunk, remote won't open trunk, how to manually open trunk

I am not a Jaguar guy, but usually when the battery is in the trunk, there is a connection under the hood where you can attach jumper cables. Power the car from there with a donor battery to make the trunk release work.
Failing that, try one of those trickle chargers that works through the lighter outlet in the car.

Battery is dead and trunk will not open with key

Either replace battery or hook up jumper cables, as if attempting to jump start vehicle, then try trunk release button.

How do i release open the trunk if the battery is dead and I don't hav the key?

If your battery is dead, and you don't have the key, you are not gonna get the trunk open. However, if the car is unlocked, and you have another vehicle to power the car by jumper cables, you may be able to use the button inside to open the trunk. Otherwise, you'll need to install a new battery.

I can nit open my trunk on my 1996 jAGUAR XJ6.

ok, if the key won't open this then the lock is jammed and if you don't want to damage anything, I know I wouldn't, I would take it to a mechanic. The jammed may have been what killed your battery if the valet trunk open was not working it may have been shorted out. There is a way to jump vehicles with the battery in the trunk like that but I am not familiar with it and if the buttin doesn't work to release the trunk it would do you no good anyway. most likely you are looking at replacing teh truck locking mechanism.

2003 S TYPE JAGUAR. DON'T DRIVE OFTEN BATTERY

You must charge the battery or you can use jumper cables from another battery to your battery to activate the electric trunk release, just be sure you hook up the jumper cables correctly ( cable to + on the battery and black to _ terminal of battery)and wear safety glasses when hooking up cables this should release the trunk. Also as a precaution always hook up + or red jumper cables wires first to prevent a arcing spark which is not terribly dangerous but this order in which to connect jumper cables is recommended.
