No ignition - jaguar 2 class 2000

I have recently taken out my radio from my jaguar s class 2000 for repair. After re-installing without hitch, I tested the ignition, air conditioning and rasio. All worked without any faults.
I have gone back to the car this morning and on trying to open the door, the windows have opened!!
After getting into the car, the car won't start and is not even turning over.

Any ideas

We have a heavy duty tow bar so what is the towing capacity

https://www.uhaul.com/Frequentlyaskedquestions/202/Trailertowing-Rentals

How do I find my hitch system rating? Your hitch system is comprised of three components, the Hitch that is attached to the frame of your car, the Ball Mount (drawbar) and the Hitch Ball. Each component has a rating for capacity. The LOWEST rating of the three components determines the overall rating of your complete hitch system. For instance, you can have a 3500 lb hitch and ball mount, with a 2000 lb ball. Your hitch system is limited to the 2000 lbs towing capacity. https://www.uhaul.com/Articles/Tips/33/How-To-Determine-Your-Hitch-System-Rating

My radio sounds with ignition key in the off position off my 2001 jaguar s type

if you recently installed an aftermarket deck, or had somebody else install it then i'd check to make sure its been wired correctly. sounds to me like the wire for the ign. switch got crossed with the constant power circuit.... if this isn't the case can you give me any more info about the events leading up to the point where this began happening (recent work done to the vehicle?)

Hidden Hitches like other Trailer Hitches have classes, how do I know which is the right class of hitch for my vehicle?

If you can, get the class 3 version. It uses the two inch receiver ball mount. It is much more durable that the puny 1.25 inch class 1 and 2.

Can I tow a horse trailer using Class IV hitches?

Towing must be taken seriously and you must therefore make sure the correct towing accessories. A class 4 hitch cannot handle the massive weight of a horse trailer, it is therefore better if you didnt use it but used a class 5 hitch which can handle the loads.

I want to put a 2" slide-in hitch on my 1991

Go to your nearest UHAUL center and give them your vehicle information. They should pull out part # 75038. It is a Class III with a 5000lbs towing capacity (8000lbs if you have weight distributers installed) The pre drilled holes on the hitch should match the holes on your truck without removing bumper or spare. ( you might have to temporaly remove/ lower them to install the hitch, but you can put it back on without any modifications) Luck!

I bought a Jetski and I want to tow it with my 03 Jaguar X-Type

Check to see if you have a local uhaul store. They usually have a hitch for any kind off car. If not , check Google for locating a hitch for your make and model.

Looking for tow capacity for a 1988 Nissan Pathfinder XE 6 cyl automatic

Depends on what type of two hitch you use there are three class's class 1 and class 2 and 3. since the path finder is about 3000 pounds if you have the class 2 hitch assemble that will bolt up to the frame your could pull 800 pounds without to much wear and tear on the transmission and more importantly the brakes. The vehicle is not designed with a lot of extra brake on board unless you buy it with a hitch so buy the hitch and be sure whatever you pull has electric brakes you will have to adjust the electric brake controller to slightly apply brakes before you pathfinder applies also you need the right tongue weight the reason for this is to keep your rig your pulling from jack knifeing if you have to slam on the breaks. If you have never pulled before this is the highest I would recommend pulling. I have seen people pull as much as 1200 pounds but it's more wear and tear on the van than it's worth. Hope this helps.

Want to know the towing capacity for our truck

First off the 1997 F-250 HD with a 4.10 rear end will haul 14,900 lbs. The real question is do you have a receiver hitch or the rear bumper hitch. If you have the rear bumper hitch buy a receiver hitch that mounts to the frame a class 5 is usually put on these trucks. However a class 4 will work just fine for 6,000 lbs. The receiver hitch will have the capacity stated right on the hitch you just bend over and read it. It will give you two ratings one with weight distribution device and one without. You will be looking at the one without. That will fall somewhere between 6,000 and 12,000 lbs depending on the hitch manufacturer and the class. Hope this helps.
