Replacing antenna for 2006 chevy colorado

check that the antenna wire is connected correctly in the radio and is not shorted out on the body somewhere. It is a co-ax cable the same as a TV and the braded bit has to be grounded on the body to complete the circuit while the internal wire has to be insulated right into the radio socket.
