My turn signals stay on

When i turn the signal on the light blinks then when i turn it off it turns back on is this normal? there is little box behind the radio with some wires in it and when the light turns back on theres a faint click or pop inside of it. the camaro has marker lights that stay on as well so i thought those were the running light not the blinkers too. hope i described well. also its only the front ones that stay on. when i turn the headlights they dim. if that helps

You have daytime runing lights. When you turn the signal off does it just stay on or does it flash? If it just stays on and you have some light dimming problems, it is more than likely a bad ground on the front signal sockets. This can be repaired by cleaning or replacing the sockets. Another cause of this problem can be traced to bad bulbs,a very easy fix.Good luck Moe

Left hand turn signal not working at all

First replace the turn signal light bulb. If that does not work check the voltage at the signal light bulb socket .there should be 12 volts there when youput on theleft turn signal. Normally thefuse for the signal should be for theleft and rightturn signal system. Sinceright turn signal is fune then it cannoy be the fuse.

Usually if you turn on your turn signal and it stays lit solid inside, it's telling you the bulb is bad in your turn signal outside. I would check your bulbs first. Same for the backup lights.

i would be checkinh all connections and take it from there, a little wd40 might just solve it short term.

Jaguar xj6 break light cancels signal

Replace the turn signal switch. Bad contact inside causing a crossing of the circuits. When the turn signal is applied it should open the brake light circuit allowing for just the signal to work. Doesn't sound like the switch is doing it's job.

1992 Ford Ranger Turn signal/Hazard light issue

Can you just check to make sure the ignition key switch is not staying over to far and not backing off when you try to start it. I had a truck that did that and it messed up my turn signals until I brought the key switch back a little after starting it. Just a simple idea. Be kind with your rating for me. Raz

Driver side signals only work when headlights are OFF

What may have happened is either the headlights wiring or the parking lights wiring somewhere along the wiring fused to the left turn signals wiring. Depending on if the turn signals go on when you put the parking lights on or the headlights on.

If the signals come on when you turn on the headlights than you only need to locate the light green wire that comes off the left turn signal harness.

Next follow that wire the entire way back to the firewall looking for another wire fused to that wire as you go.

If there are no signs of this you need to continue looking on the other side of the firewall all the way back to the turn signal and hazard flasher unit which is a black box that connects to a black harness located next to a grey harness behind the knee bolster.

But if the signals come on when you turn on the parking lights than you will also need to check the wiring from the rear left signal and follow that light green wire all the way back to the turn signal and hazard flasher unit.

This should fix your problem, but if not than your problem may lay within the the wiring between the turn signal/hazard switches and the turn signal and hazard flasher unit.

Also you may have a burnt circuit in the junction block. This block is where the light green from the rear left signal and front left signal meet. Don't have a description but if you cannot find it let me know and I will go out to the yard and look myself and let you know.
