My 97 Chevy blazer won't start I hear the fuel

Bad fuel pump, fuel filter, it may not have enough pressure or you aren't getting spark

1999 blazer only starts when primed and then wont start after sitting

Black smoke is usually extra fuel, but you say you are priming it to start so that could be why.
Have you checked fuel pump pressure before and after cranking ?

Have a 1996 chevy blazer replaces fuel pump and relay switch and fuel filter was driving fine then just stopped wont run turns over fuel pump clicks wont start

Have you checked to see if you have spark at the spark plug when the engine is rolling over?.

You need air, fuel, and spark to start your vehicle. It may be the fuel pump, filter, fuel pump fuse/relay. You should be able to hear the fuel pump kick on when you first turn your key. Fuel goes to the pump, filter, lines, and engine. If it is getting gas, you need to check for spark. Spark plugs/coil wires, distributor, dist.cap, cam sensor, ect. It can be anyone of them. Check for gas and spark.

When you turn ignition key from OFF to RUN (engine not running), you should hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds and then shut off.

Best to check fuel pressure to be certain.

I have a 95 chevy blazer and at first i was able to prime my gas tank several times then it would start. Now i have to spray starting fluid in it every time i want to leave. I can hear my fuel pump kicking...

The fuel pump may be running but it may not be providing enough fuel pressure. Have the fuel pressure checked at the fuel rail and if it is not to specification, replace the fuel pump.

Check to see if the fuel pump is kicking in,
when you turn the key on without starting the van you should hear it kick on for about 2 seconds,

It could be...
A clogged fuel filter...
Blown fuse for the pump..or bad pump relay..
No gas
Bad fuel pump

the engine dont turn over i had and alternator seizing on me i was sure the engine was seize turn out jam alternator remove the belt turn each poulie by hand im sure you got something jam in there let me no pierre

93 chevy s10 blazer fuel pump replacement

try yhe pickup coil or ignition module wich are both located on the distributor or the igniton coil.im going through the same thing.all i have left to try is the ignition module.if i get it ill be sure to let you know

If this is the vortec engine you may want to check to confirm that the injector pot is working. The injector pot is located under the air intake manifold (top half only) & PLEASE BE SURE TO DISCONECT BATTERY FIRST. if you unbolt the top half of the intake manifold you will find the main injector pot otherwise known as the SPIDER. This part does have a history of failing and can be very costly to replace if you purchase it new. most junk yards should be able to find one for you.
