Every time the van enters at least 25 to 45 mph it slips and gets back into the proper gear. its been happening for the past 5 to 6 months after getting the front passenger side wheel hub and bearing fixed after not driving it for about 6 months
Change the trany fluid and filter. get some lucas transmission treatment and put it in before you put your trany fluid in. after all fluids are in and everything is together start the vehicle and hold foot on brake and go through the gears it might slip a lil the first 5 min of driving or until fluid works through trany.

I would have the transmission check if you plan on keeping the car a long time. The lucas oil is an additive for the oil. The additive is making the fluid a little heavier and tricking the soleniods or clutch and bands with a different pressures.
This is a temporary fix. The transmission over time is going to start to slip more and more.

have a transmission tuneup performed which may solve the problem. also have them check for metal shavings in the pan. take filter off and replace filter which could solve your problem. also may need a shift kit on the valve body.
SOURCE: 1994 Ford E350 transmission seems like it slips at 45-55 MPH.
If you went 1k miles since that same issue occurred I would look at the transmission. A faulty torque converter, clogged fuel filter, or a clogged CAT can cause a delay in the shifting but it would happen right away not 1k miles later.

First check and confirm that transmission fluid is not leaking or got low.If its low then make it full. Also see if the filter is clogged or worn our or very old.If it is then replace the filter.
The filter is inside; you have to pull it out and take it apart.
There are also many other facing the same problem,In some cases the transmission needs to be reprogrammed as the computer to transmission is not getting detected. In some cases the transmission needs to be rebuilt .
Get the transmission assembly scanned and retrieve the codes and replace the part as per the codes.

Get it checked.Keep updated.Thanks.
