2003 Saturn Ion CD player Err code. Was asked to elaborate & give more info to my problem. A few CDs I have had trouble getting read in my car stereo but worked fine in any other CD player. I cleaned the CD w/ a good cleaner that's worked. Found out that my car stereo doesn't work well in cold weather. As I drive to work early, CD would continuously eject & LOAD would appear on readout. I would continue this process until the disc was read which would take anywhere from 5-25 tries or not @ all until after work when the weather was warmer. Got into my car one morning @ pressed AUX button to play CD. Disc was ejected, but LOAD did not appear. Now when I press LD/EJ button, LOAD does not appear on readout. The slot #3 that ejectedy disc should appear empty but shows a disc is in there. Now I can't eject or load in any other slot. Err appears every time I try to load or eject, period. Interesting note: about once every month while listening to a CD, the music would stop, all slots would flash on, & the disc I was playing would continue after 5-10 seconds. This almost seemed like the player was resetting itself. Radio still works. Went thru 50+ pages & read I could unplug my negative battery terminal & this might reset my CD player, but that was for a Honda. This is a stock Saturn Ion radio. E-mail [email protected]. Thanks.

I have a crv also. the audio system has an anti-theft mechanism, to deter thieves from stealing your cd player/radio. you need a code to turn your unit back on, usually a four or five digit code, that should have been provided when you bought the vehicle. If you don't have it, the unit will come back on after, and only after a full, uninterupted hour of driving.

you may have to use needle nose pliers to pull them out or remove the radio and open it up and remove them also take a look at the drive belt it may have broke, there are many electrionic places that will repair it if you remove it and take it to them, most of the one i run into broke a belt or 2cds were jamed inside it.
SOURCE: will not play or unload cd's in player. Radio
this meens the cd player needs a cleaner disc put in it or new player
