The cigerette outlets won't work in my galant. I have located the fuse box but when it comes to knowing which one it is I'm lost. Even the picture in the manual isn't helping. Do you have any thing that might help?
The fuse you are looking for is accy or accessory. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer, thanks.
Not all mitsubishi galants came with a cigarette lighter. mines came with just to outputs. i thought that one of them was for a lighter socket and even got a replacement cigarrete thing to try and see if they work. turns out that both werent meant to be cigarette sockets. If your galant was meant to have a cigarette socket then you might have to change the whole socket. Go to autozone or O'reilly they have replacement sockets there.

I foudn that out, when I look at the box how can I tell which fuse it the accessory one? Are they numbered? The only numbers I see are the fuse #'s
I pulled out each of the fuses under the hood but none of them were blown and yet thecigarette lighter doesn't work. It was working previously because I was using it for my GPS but I was trying to hard wire it when I blew the fuse.
my lighter worked until I tried to hardwire my GPS using these wires and grounded out the unit. I took out each fuse and non of them are blown, are you sure the fuse to the cigarette lighter is under the hood with all the other fuses or is there another fuse compartment?
I have the same problem but again, all the fuses in the box are fine.I pulled the lighter sockets out to see if there was a fuse or fusable link but luck.Any one else have an idea is it where the fuse is??
