SOURCE: 2001 nissan altima is sputtering and misfiring, I

have you checked the spark plug wires? try changing those. sometimes they can get a little crack in the insulation which can cause it not to get full spark to the spark plugs

SOURCE: 1999 nissan frontier is idling rough the truck

This can be your Idle control valve, when you turn the air on it puts the engine under load and your computer will increase the idle automatically to prevent the engine from cutting out.
When you are standing still and the car is shaking, by touching the accelerator very softly does the shaking stop? If so check the idle control valve.
I hope this will help.

Sam

SOURCE: My 2000 Nissan Frontier has sputtering problems

your tach is run by the engine computer, possible cause. also by the crankshaft position sensor, most likely cause, I would start there. some sensors will run within perimeters and be bad enough to cause a lot of problems

SOURCE: I have a 95 nissan sentra and it keeps idling

Check vacuum leaks , by spraying carburator cleaner around intake manifold gasket and vacuum hoses connections . See if engine picks up the idle speed while you doing it , and if it does , locate leak and fix it. Most common , intake manifold gasket brakes.

Spark plug change

Well i wouldent of thought you need to take off the valve cover AKA (rocker cover) to change spark plugs. spark plugs are usally set at a touque setting at 10 to 15 NMs (newton meters). if you do have to take off the valve cover the gasket can be re-used no O-rings needed.

1991 sentra 2dr 1.6 L rough idle in park and in drive at stop

Sounds like misfire. Change spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor , fuel and air filters. Check for oil in spark plug holes. if oil found change valve cover gasket spark plug orings. they can leak oil into spark plug holes and cause misfire.

1995 Alitma ran rough and stalled

Its just fouled some plugs again. Need an overhaul. If you just put a valve job on it it will just put more stress on the rings and will need it anyway. Not much you can do except change plugs all the time!

1993 Nissan Altima

the black smoke indicates the engine is flooding first check your plugs and take note of the one or ones that are darker than the others ( a tannish brown color is good) if you find you need to change your plugs also change your distributor cap rotor button and plug wires. Keep in mind especially with the wires you get what you pay for. good luck
