I have had a few issues with my car since I've gotten it last March mainly with the power. I've completely replaced the battery, gotten a tuneup and all that fun stuff. The weird part that's been happening is, one day, the battery died, we got it jumped and it worked perfectly. We stopped it after the 20 minutes and what not to make sure it would start up again and it didn't so we sat waiting because it was making a clicking noise. When the clicking stopped, the car started beautifully. Fast forward about 2 months later, my boyfriend and I drove about 15 miles home from work, stopped at my house and shut off the car for maybe 10 minutes, came back out and the car is completely dead. I didn't get any lights or dings or anything. Jumping also didn't work. So, I had it towed, my mechanic checked all the wires and cleaned off the battery in case of corrosion and it worked great. A few weeks later, I had run into the corner store, shut off my car for maybe 5 minutes, came back out and it was completely dead. Called my dad and he just unhooked the negative cable and hooked it back up. Then this happened again about a week later and he did the same thing. Afterward, the car runs beautifully as it did before and has been for the past few days. Could somebody please tell me what they think is happening? Also, we were told it could be the "brain" isn't able to reset itself. The alternator has been tested many times as well and I've been told that it's going as new. Thanks for the help in advance!

Replacing the fuse the first time was the right move, becuase it could have been a fluke that it blew. Replacing it again and again was not! You should have found out EVERYTHING that the #2 fuse controlled and verified that the components weren't pulling excessive amperage (shorted condition). By replacing the fuse over and over, you might have made the problem worse by subjecting good components to something that was shorted.
BTW next time pick the oldest guy at autozone to help you, if the counter help knew their stuff they would have told you the same thing I just did!
