Cant find cam sensor in 2004 dodge stratus r/t

I had my car to advance auto and they said my cam sensor is bad. Does anyone know where it is so I can fix it? Anybody got illustrations? Any help would be appreciated.

2.0L 2.4L it is on The BACK OF the Cylinder Head REMOVAL
The camshaft position sensor is mounted to the rear of the cylinder head.

  1. Remove the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the PCV hose and reposition.
    1. Disconnect electrical connectors from the camshaft position sensor.
    2. Remove camshaft position sensor mounting screws. Remove sensor.
      1. Loosen screw attaching target magnet to rear of camshaft and remove magnet.
      INSTALLATION
      The target magnet has locating dowels that fit into machined locating holes in the end of the camshaft.

      1. Install target magnet in end of camshaft. Tighten mounting screw to 3 Nm (30 in. lbs.) torque. Over torqueing could cause cracks in magnet. If magnet cracks replace it.
      2. Install camshaft position sensor. Tighten sensor mounting screws to 12.9 Nm (115 in. lbs.) torque.
      3. Carefully attach electrical connector to camshaft position sensor. Installation at an angle may damage the sensor pins.
      4. Connect the PCV Valve hose.
      5. Connect the negative battery cable.
2.7L V6
REMOVAL
The camshaft position sensor is mounted in the front of the head.
  1. Disconnect electrical connector from sensor.
  2. Remove camshaft position sensor screw.
CAM Sensor Location 2.7L
  1. Without pulling on the connector, pull the sensor out of the chain case cover.
INSTALLATION
The camshaft position sensor is mounted in the front of the head.

  1. Install sensor in the chain case cover and push sensor in until contact is made with the boss on the head. While holding the sensor in this position,install and tighten the retaining bolt to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) torque.
  2. Attach electrical connector to sensor.

I need to locate the cam sensor for dodge stratus 3.0 2004 model

Please tell us your NOT replacing a cam sensor because someone told you to get a code read at some auto parts store. This is like the flu spreading on this site. Codes DO NOT always mean a sensor is bad. Test it before you throw parts at it.

2001 dodge stratus wont start

SORRY TO SAY BUT WHEN ONE SENSOR GOES BAD 90% OF THE TIME BOTH GO BAD AT THE SAME TIME. YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO REPLACE CRANK SENSOR .WITCH IS ABOUT 80 BUCKS AT THE LOCAL AUTO STORE SUCH AS ADVANCED AUTO OR AUTO ZONE . BOTH CAM SHAFT SENSOR AND THE CRANK SHAFT SENSOR. 2004 dodge stratus with 2.4L

Hi...
The Code P0340 on your Stratus is :
Camshaft Position Sensor Loss signal.
Ok, The first step is check tha condittion on the connector.
For corrosion, bent pins or damaged wires.
If you found that everything is ok.
Replace the Cam Position Sensor.
The Cam Position Sensor, Is common that the Cam fail on this Vehicle and similars of this.
Tha Cam position sensor Is located:
At end of the engine head, driver side. Is attached with 4, 10mm
screw, and the connector at the center of the sensor.
